Stabilizer for metal pigment in powder coatings

Jietonda® SA5501 is a micronized stabilizer for metallic pigments, especially aluminum powder, capable of preventing effectively degradation arising from oxygen or moisture to inhibiting surface defects such as blackening, darkening, spots formation and loss of brilliance in appearance of metallic powder coatings.

2. Characteristics
　 ● Jietonda® SA5501 is recommended as a stabilizer, combined with some metallic pigments, especially aluminum powders,including leaf or non-leaf, to use in metallic effect powder coatings based on PES/TGIC,PES/HAA, hybrid, PU and epoxy.

3. Use method & levels
　 ● Firstly, prepare an appropriate base coating powder followed by incorporating SA5501 into the said powder, then dry blending using a proper mixer.
　 ● The use level is 2-3% based on total formula by weight.

4. Package & Storage
　 ● Packaging with PE lined Kraft paper bags. Net weight 25kg per bag.
　 ● Store in temperature between 2-32℃ or cool dry place to avoid caking. Keep package closed after using. Keep away from heat and fire.
　 ● Based on our experience the shelf life of this product under above conditions is at least 2 years.
